E46 BMW M3 With HRE Performance Wheels
With it came innovation – the BMW M3 from the E46 series. High-revving 3.2-liter inline six-cylinder engine (S54B32) with 252 kW (343 hp). And, of course, the S5432HP version of the CSL, with 360 hp and a curb weight of just 1385 kg. But the “normal” M3 was and is also extremely popular. In particular, the timeless design with the aluminum bonnet, the wider wheel arches, or the aerodynamically optimized exterior mirrors was convincing even after 18 years.
Another highlight was the 18 or 19 inches forged light-alloy ex-works wheels, which, thanks to their appropriate dimensions, optimally filled the 40 mm wider wheel arches. But it was precisely this that had to give way to this M3. Instead, the 3 Series now wears a set of HRE Performance Wheels all-around alloy wheels on the front and rear axles.
The equally ultra-lightweight multi-piece forged wheel has a fully polished surface and 19-inch size. A glance through the spokes reveals that a new brake system has also been fitted. The owner opted for a Brembo system with red-painted brake calipers and large perforated brake discs.
And the M3 has also been discreetly lowered. Unfortunately, we don’t have any information on this at this time. Also, the CSL’s front apron with distinctive driver-side vent and a sport exhaust system with four chrome tailpipes in standard appearance. Perhaps the M3 will get a CSL-style hatchback in the coming days.
The popular lightweight construction component with a large, fully integrated spoiler lip is also offered by various accessory manufacturers and would, of course, match the front apron perfectly.
