BMW i8 by AC Schnitzer Pops-Up at BMW Abu Dhabi

A fine BMW i8 specimen customized by AC Schnitzer tuner has recently popped-up at the carmaker’s dealership in Abu Dhabi, the plug-in hybrid looking smashing with the design bits added by the aftermarket shop.

Sure, it isn’t what we have really expected from a tuner, the i8 being seen in some extravagant and insane body kits, but as decent as it looks here, it’s just the right ingredient for a proper display.

A trained eye might depict the front spoiler add-ons, fixed rear wing and updated side skirts. To highlight the slight mods, the tuner has also fitted the model with 21-inch five twin-spoke design alloy wheels, which make it a bit more aggressive.

In the engine department, this gorgeous BMW i8 by AC Schnitzer still keeps the same 1.5-liter conventional engine hooked to an electric motor. The overall output stands at 362 horsepower while the performance figure speaks for itself: just 4.4 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h, which is 0.1 seconds slower than the M3 or M4. The fuel consumption is more than decent, with just 2.1 liters per each 100 km/h.
