How To Set the Clock / Time on E46 BMW 3 Series [DIY]
If you are still running on last week’s time that’s become irritating now but don’t know how to change the time, don’t worry. You can always check your owner’s manual for the steps on adjusting the clock on your E46 BMW 3-Series car. But if you don’t have your owner’s manual, here’s a helpful process you can use to successfully adjust your car’s clock. The steps should work for the E46 BMW 3-Series and BMW M3 from 1998-2006.
Follow The Steps
Step 1: First, start your car or turn the ignition on so that all the gauge lights are on.
Step 2: In order to make the time show up just under the car’s odometer, you can use the dash display selector button (BC button). This will allow the turn signal to turn on and so the time will show up.
Step 3: When you see the time showing under the odometer, you can set the time through the rubber knob. You can find it in between the water temperature gauge and the speedometer. You can turn the knob right and left so that the time can go up and down.
Step 4: If you want to change it from 24H to 12H mode and vice versa, you simply have to press the knob. Now, press the knob and change your clock’s mode to however you want it to.
Step 5: Lastly, don’t forget to turn the ignition off. After you do, your E46’s clock will then be adjusted to the time you set.
