Purple 2025 BMW M5 Leaves Kenny Habul’s Garage After 600 Miles and a $43,225 Drop

Kenny Habul kept the purple BMW for a short stretch. The 2025 BMW M5 reached Cars and Bids after one year, with only 600 extra miles added during its ownership. When bidding closed, the final number stood at $103,000. Compared with the original $146,225 paid last year, the gap reached $43,225.

The sedan arrived finished in Daytona Violet Metallic, paired with a Silverstone and black cabin. BMW fitted Style 951M Dark Grey wheels, twenty inches at the front and twenty-one inches at the rear. Carbon-fiber details appeared across the roof, mirror caps, and rear spoiler, all linked to the Carbon Package selected when the car left the factory. Executive, M Driver’s, and Carbon packages were all present from day one.

Before Habul took delivery in September 2025, the car belonged to Rick Hendrick. Large collections often keep mileage low, and this case followed the same pattern. Most of the car’s early life passed inside a museum in Connecticut, where rare performance vehicles stay parked for long periods. At sale time, the odometer showed 10,234 miles.

No aftermarket work appeared in the listing. A few defects did. The front bumper carried small chips. A mark appeared along the driver ’s-side rocker panel. The passenger-side wheels showed scratches, and the center console trim inside also carried visible wear. None of this changed the buyer’s interest. The listing stayed online for one week before a new owner secured the deal. A clean Carfax accompanied the car, with no accident record and no mileage mismatch. Two keys, the owner’s manual, the window sticker, and the Flexible Fast Charger stayed with the sale.

Under the body sits BMW’s current plug-in-hybrid layout. A 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 works with an electric motor mounted on the front axle, a setup introduced with the M5 G90 in June 2024. Combined output reaches 717 horsepower, or 727 metric horsepower, while torque reaches 738 pound-feet, equal to 1,000 Newton meters. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends power through an all-wheel-drive system.

Performance figures remain unchanged. The sedan reaches 60 miles per hour in 3.4 seconds, or 97 kilometers per hour in the same time. Standard top speed sits at 155 miles per hour, though this example reaches 190 miles per hour because the M Driver’s Package removes the lower limiter. M Carbon Ceramic Brakes handle stopping duties.

Habul, now 52, knows fast machinery well. He drives for Mercedes-AMG and won the Bathurst 12-Hour in both 2022 and 2023. His time with this BMW was brief. The depreciation did not.
