We have the latest information and spy photos! The spy photos are of the upcoming BMW iX M70 facelift model that will replace the previous top-of-the-line M60. This car suffered a technical problem and required technical intervention to resolve the issue. We have not received any information about the technical problem, as everything is confidential.
BMW has confirmed that the facelift model of the BMW iX will be launched in the spring of 2025, and it will come with several improvements in terms of aesthetics and technology. I am really curious to see what the final version of the iX facelift will look like, but I am convinced that it will be something impressive! Let’s find out more information about performance, design, autonomy, price, and release date in the following lines.

Performance Specs
The BMW iX model debuted at the beginning of 2021, and it is a car that has shown true technological evolution from all points of view, it was not for nothing that it was declared a technological leader. Think that this almost 3-ton monster can take you over 600km of autonomy, it is formidable, even amazing!
From what we have learned from official sources, the batteries remain the same, without changes: 74.4 kWh, 109.4 kWh and 107.7 kWh, but they will support improvements in terms of optimization and technology, which will add a few more percent of autonomy.
At the moment, we do not have information regarding the powers of the new iX facelift models, but as soon as we find out new information, we will update this article, so stay tuned on BMWSite.
Pricing Information
Given inflation across all industries, the price of the iX has remained stable for a very long time, but it may increase very slightly for the BMW iX facelift. It is expected to have a launch price of 75,000 Euros.
The current BMW iX variants are as follows:
- xDrive40: 240 kW (326hp)
- xDrive50: 385 kW (523hp)
- M60: 455 kW (619hp)
BMW has announced that the xDrive40 will be replaced by a more powerful model, the same will happen with the xDrive50 models, as well as the M60 (the M60 will become the M70 for the facelift – see the spy photos).
Exterior and Interior Design
As we can see from the spy photos, we see improvements in the front and rear of the car. The headlights will have a new LED signature, and the car’s bumper looks much more aggressive. We notice that the rear bumper is also extremely aggressive, being very prominent, but given the fact that the spied model is the iX M70, we expect something sporty and extreme. We don’t know yet how the grilles will look, but they may take on the “gene” of the Neue Klasse models…
Another aspect is that we don’t see any changes on the taillights, they may remain the same as on the pre-facelift model.
We were also able to take pictures of certain elements of the car’s interior, where we can see an interior with leather sports seats, a wide curved screen, a sports steering wheel, as well as the central island that seems to have no changes compared to the pre-facelift version.
As we’ve gotten used to with other BMW models, or even other brands, their facelifts don’t bring many improvements, so it’s normal not to see many changes in terms of design. In general, facelifts come with changes to the front/rear bumper, as well as headlights or grilles, and on the inside, only minor changes.
