The Heart – A Potent M XR 4 Cylinder Engine

At the heart of the BMW M 1000 XR lies a modified water cooled inline four engine, closely related to the powerplant found in the S 1000 RR. With a peak power output of 148 kW (201 hp) at 12,750 rpm it surpasses the S 1000 XR by an additional 23 kW (31 hp). This engine is engineered to deliver exhilarating rides with a torque of 113 Nm at 11,000 rpm and a redline set at an impressive14,600 rpm. The shorter secondary gear ratio enhances wheel pulling power for enjoyment on both scenic country roads and thrilling racetracks.

Redefined Aerodynamics – Introducing M Winglets and Wind Deflectors

In addition to suspension technology and drive, aerodynamics has also played an important part in shaping the design of the BMW M 1000 XR. Sporting eye catching winglets on its side panels the M XR isn’t just about looks; it was designed to enhance lap times and provide exceptional stability at high speeds. These winglets generate downforce, increasing the load on the wheel by approximately 12 kg at 220 km/h.

With its design and advanced technology, the BMW M 1000 XR is a visual masterpiece. Its compact yet powerful proportions combined with three surfaces create an appearance. The front end stands out with its performance oriented aesthetic highlighted by M winglets.
